The City of Sioux Falls operates and maintains the Traffic Demand Forecasting Model for the Sioux Falls MPO. The Traffic Demand Forecasting Model provides the MPO and City of Sioux Falls with information on how the highway network will function in the year 2025.

Also, the forecasting model can test how new road projects can improve the function of the highway network.  The City runs TP+/Viper Software and maintains approximately 560 Traffic Analysis Zones (TAZs).
