  Officers Ryan Flogstad and Shaun Olson have been honored with the department’s “Life Saving Award.” Chief Barthel made a presentation to the officers that included a certification of recognition and the “Life Saving Award” uniform bar.

• May
  Sgt. Matt Burns received an appreciation award from SA Randy Walker of the US Secret Service for his dedicated service and professional investigative assistance to the US Secret Service while serving as a Sioux Falls Police Department Fraud Detective.
