Chaplain Team

The Chaplain Team is tasked with providing support and assistance to the Sioux Falls Police Department and the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office. The most common way they are used is through death notifications. This makes up over 90 percent of the calls they receive from law enforcement. They can be used in an emergency situation to assist officers who are dealing with citizens in crisis situations. Chaplain members are also available on a non-emergency basis to law enforcement personnel to provide support or someone to talk to that will have some understanding of what police work entails.
