57th Street: Pennbrooke Avenue to MacArthur Lane

This portion of 57th Street will be reconstructed this summer due to street deterioration. There will also be a new large diameter concrete storm drainage pipe installed near Twin Ridge Road. This project has been split into two phases. The section from Pennbrooke Avenue to Minnesota Avenue will be totally reconstructed in 2009. The first phase is continuing with work on the storm drainage pipe crossing and curb/gutter repairs. The street is fully closed to through traffic during construction until late summer. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes on 69th Street or I229. Local traffic only will be allowed to access homes and businesses along the corridor.
