57th Street: Pennbrooke Avenue to MacArthur LaneThis portion of 57th Street will be reconstructed this summer due to street deterioration. There will also be a new large diameter concrete storm drainage pipe installed near Twin Ridge Road. This project has been split into two phases. The section from Pennbrooke Avenue to Minnesota Avenue will be totally reconstructed in 2009. The contractor is finising up with curb, gutter repairs in Phase 1 and is getting ready to pave. The street is fully closed to through traffic during construction until late October. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes on 69th Street or I229. Local traffic only will be allowed to access homes and businesses along the corridor.
