Sertoma Avenue: 12th Street to 26th Street This street has experienced a substantial increase in traffic volumes due to the area schools and residential housing growth. Sertoma Avenue will be widened and constructed as a four lane urban street with turn lanes at the major intersections. Street lighting and sidewalks will also be installed along the corridor. The project continues with utility installation and street grading along the entire corridor. The contractor is also working near the intersection 12th and Sertoma. The entire corridor of Sertoma Avenue from 12th to 26th Street is closed off to traffic. A four way stop sign has been installed at 26th Street and Tea/Ellis Road and a traffic signal has been installed at 12th Street and the Tea/Ellis Road to facilitate detour traffic. This project will be substantially completed by November.
