Furnace Replacement Program
This program provides financial assistance to low- and moderate-income homeowners for replacement of older inefficient heating systems (less than 80% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency).
CD Homes For Sale
Funds are provided to Sioux Falls Housing Corporation to buy older homes that contribute to neighborhood deterioration. After acquisition, these homes will be replaced or rehabilitated and sold.
This program helps stop deterioration of older neighborhoods, and provides more options to low-income homebuyers.
2016 Action Plan - Draft for Review
The Action Plan lists the proposed activities identified to receive CDBG or HOME funding in 2016. The public is invited to examine and comment on the proposed plan until November 9, 2015. Low- and moderate-income persons, minorities, persons of limited English proficiency, persons with disabilities, and female-headed households are encouraged to review and comment on the plan.
Application for Multi-Unit Housing
The City of Sioux Falls is accepting applications for multi-unit affordable housing projects. Projects should provide affordable housing for residents at 80% or less of area median income as defined by HUD. Approximately $1 million is available in 2016 for this effort. New Affordable Housing Projects
City of Sioux Falls officials today announced City funding for the development of two large affordable housing projects. In late 2013, the City began making loan funding available to support such projects. The developments announced today will provide a total of 110 units of affordable and workforce housing.
