Biography
Michelle Erpenbach began her career in public service with the city of Sioux Falls in 2000 as the coordinator for the community gardens. She served five years as a volunteer member of the Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Board, leaving that position following her election in 2010 to the Central District seat on the City Council.
She was a charter member of the Wegner Arboretum Society, the volunteer board overseeing development of the new Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum and East Sioux Falls Historic Site. In addition, she has been chair of her church’s administrative council, a PTA president, Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout committee member, Sunday school teacher, and an avid Lincoln High School band and debate parent.
Michelle and her husband, Steve Erpenbach, are parents to three children: Max, Jack, and Grace. A graduate of South Dakota State University, Michelle works as a communications coordinator for the Good Samaritan Society National Campus in Sioux Falls.
