Sioux Falls Fire Rescue provides car seat installation and checks each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fire Station 3, 2820 S. Minnesota Ave.

No appointment necessary.

Public Access Defibrillator (PAD)

PAD's are purchased by a business or individual, and the owner is expected to maintain them in good, working order.

SFFR provides yearly inspections to assist with PAD maintenance and access. SFFR is available to provide staff CPR training including the use of a PAD, answers to equipment technical questions, and other assistance.

CPR Program

CPR Program

Public CPR/AED trainings will be held on the second Thursday of the month.
Cost is "Free" but limited to 20 partcipants.

Sioux Falls is a great community to live and raise a family. We consider our fire stations part of the neighborhood. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is one of less than 200 fire departments in the country that is nationally accredited. We have 194 members and 10 fire stations strategically placed throughout the city. 

As one of the largest fire departments in the upper Midwest, we are committed to the safety of Sioux Falls. We do more than fight fires, as emergency medical calls now make up more than half our emergency responses. We also have one of the larger Public Access Defibrillator programs in the country, and regularly provided CPR classes.
