Soiled work clothes and linens must be properly laundered. Laundry equipment must include a mechanical washing machine and dryer. Linens, cloth gloves, wiping cloths, and cloth napkins must be laundered in between uses to prevent transmission of harmful organisms.  

Clean linens must be stored in a clean, dry location protected against contamination. Soiled items must be stored separately from food and clean items.

*Laundry equipment is not needed if a facility contracts with a commercial laundry service.
