Adequate and sanitary toilet facilities are necessary for the proper disposal of human waste and to prevent the spread of disease by flies and other insects. Toilet rooms must be conveniently accessible to food employees to encourage proper disposal of human wastes followed by proper hand washing. 

Toilet rooms must be of sanitary design and kept clean and in good repair to minimize the spread of disease. Adequate ventilation and a self-closing door must be provided.
