Raw animal foods may not come in contact with ready-to-eat foods. Raw animal products must be separated and stored according to required minimum cooking temperatures. Equipment and utensils that come in contact with raw animal products must be washed, rinsed, and sanitized before use on ready-to-eat food or food requiring a lower cooking temperature.

For example: raw chicken must not be stored above raw ground beef.
