2018 Compensation and Benefits Study

The City of Sioux Falls has committed to engaging in a comprehensive compensation and benefits study approximately every eight to ten years. The last study was conducted in 2009 and we have just completed our most recent study. These important studies allow the City to obtain information regarding the competitiveness of our pay and benefits relative to the marketplace and allow us to determine whether we are meeting compensation and benefits objectives.

Our consultant, Segal Waters Consulting, provided the City Council with an executive overview of this study at the Informational Meeting on June 5, 2018.

The City will continue reviewing and analyzing the results of this study. Where review and analysis supports potential modifications, any such identified modifications would coincide with the collective bargaining and/or budget process for approval in 2019.
