Reading Bridge and Siouxland Libraries partner to provide free tutoring for elementary-age children to keep them reading and writing in the summer.
Tutoring is designed for area students (public, private, and home-schooled) who have completed kindergarten up through 6th grade. Participants are paired with trained reading tutors for one hour a day, twice a week, for four weeks.
Online registration opens Monday, April 16, 2018, for all sites.
Tutoring dates are July 9 - August 2, 2018. Choose from one of the following sessions:
Mondays/Wednesdays: 10-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, or 12 noon-1 p.m.
Prairie West Branch
Colton Branch: tutoring held 2:15-3:15 p.m.
Hartford Branch: tutoring held 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m.-12 noon
Humboldt Branch: tutoring held 4-5 p.m.
Tuesdays/Thursdays: 10-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, or 12 noon-1 p.m.
Brandon Community Library
Oak View Branch
Baltic Branch: tutoring held 10-11 a.m.
Crooks Branch: tutoring held 10-11 a.m.
Valley Springs Branch: tutoring held 2-3 p.m.
Tutoring sessions are also available for students (public, private, or home-schooled) in the Harrisburg and Garretson school districts. Harrisburg students can register online for either Freedom or Liberty Elementary. Garretson students can register online.
Garretson Elementary:Tuesdays/Thursdays 10-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, or 12 noon-1 p.m.
Harrisburg Freedom: Monday/Wednesdays 10-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, or 12 noon-1 p.m.
Harrisburg Liberty: Tuesdays/Thursdays 10-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-12 noon, or 12 noon-1 p.m.
All sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
