Ice Fishing and Winter Safety
It’s that time of year: Our South Dakota waters are frozen over but that doesn’t stop many of us from fishing! If you’ve ever wanted to know what it takes to ice fish, join us at the Caille Branch Library on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Patrick Klotzbach, outreach naturalist with the Outdoor Campus, will be sharing with us the "how-tos" of ice fishing as well as important winter safety tips. Then on Saturday, February 23, attendees will be invited to join us on an ice fishing outing at Family Park in Sioux Falls from 1 to 2:30 p.m. so we can put some of our newfound knowledge to practice!
This entire event is free and open to all ages. There is limited space for this event, so register soon at www.siouxlandlib.org or call us at 367-8720 to register by phone!
