On January, 7, 2013, at 12:28 p.m., Sioux Falls Police were dispatched for a well-being check at 1025 East Eighth Street. The resident there had not reported to work and there were concerns for his well-being.

Upon making entry, officers discovered an adult male was deceased. Preliminary investigation revealed suspicious circumstances may be involved and a criminal investigation has been initiated. Crime lab and detectives have been summoned to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

No names are being released at this point pending next of kin notification.
