The bike trail closure originally scheduled to begin on Monday, March 4, 2013, has been rescheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. The bike trail on the south side of Yankton Trail Park, east of the entrance into the park off of 57th Street, will be closed to allow construction crews to install a sanitary sewer line across the bike trail and river at this location.

A short detour route will be provided at all times during the closure. This construction work is anticipated to take approximately one week. Please visit the City’s bike trail webpage for the current status of all bike trail segments around the City: www.siouxfalls.org/bike.

his project includes the installation of 54-inch and 10-inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe through Yankton Trail Park. The overall project completion date is June 7, 2013. The prime contractor for this project is Minger Construction, Inc. from Chanhassen, Minnesota.
