Community Development is Accepting Applications for its Single-Family Rehabilitation Program
City of Sioux Falls Community Development is accepting applications for eligible home repairs through the Single-Family Rehabilitation Program. The program has been in place since 1975.
Eligible repairs may include electrical updates, repair or replacement of leaky plumbing, installation of new high-efficiency heating systems, roofing, windows, doors, and much more. Assistance is in the form of a secured loan to owner occupants of a single-family home residing within the city limits of Sioux Falls. Applicants must be below 80 percent of the Area Median Family Income as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to be eligible. Additionally, applicants that are below 50 percent of the Area Median Family Income are eligible to receive up to $7,500 as a no-interest diminishing loan; after five full years of ownership and occupancy, the loan is fully forgiven.
