Wee Play & Learn Parent-Child Workshop
Parents and primary caregivers are invited to come with their children to play, meet other families, and talk one-on-one with child development experts at a workshop for those with children ages one to three.
The free five-week program will be held in the Play & Learn Room at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue. The workshop meets Thursday mornings, 10:15 to 11:30 a.m., on September 7, 14, 21, 28, and October 5, 2017.
Children will learn about their world and develop the skills needed to be successful learners through self-led play, supported by their closest adults. Registration for both attendees is required (www.siouxlandlib.org or 367-8700).
The program, which offers developmentally appropriate toys in ten areas of play, is free (a library card is not required to attend). Each week of sessions will focus on one of the following topics:
- Child development
- Early literacy
- Speech and language
- Music and movement
If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605‑367‑8745 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least 72 hours before the event.
