STEM: Chemistry With Gary Healy
Kids in Grades 3 through 5 can learn about water in a special two-part series presented by Siouxland Libraries Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue. Part 1, STEM: Chemistry With Gary Healy, is February 13, 2018, 4 to 5 p.m.; Part 2 will be held February 27, 2018, 4 to 5 p.m. Participants are asked to attend both programs; registration is not required.
Using hands-on activities and experiments, participants will learn about the properties of water, including its components, clarity, and surface tension from Healy, who taught high school chemistry in the Sioux Falls area. After 45 years as an educator, he retired 3 years ago.
