HEALTHY COOKING

Cooking at home can be a daunting task, but a rewarding one for your diet and lifestyle (and your wallet). Making small changes in your diet is important to your heart health. If you’re ready to start cooking at home, this 45-minute cooking class, presented by Live Well Sioux Falls with the support from the American Heart Association, will give you the basics you need to make low-cost, heart-heathy meals. Each session will feature a diff erent set of aff ordable and healthy recipes to give you the basic skills and techniques to get started and inspired and have fun! Registration required.

TURBO KICK

Turbo Kick is an aerobic workout that focuses on raising your heart rate and burning calories through boxing moves such as kicks and punches. The class will consist of 45 minutes of cardiovascular workout and 15 minutes of stretching. All levels are welcome. Bring your own towel/mat.

MINDFUL MEDITATION

You will be taken through a series of guided meditations. These meditation sessions will also incorporate techniques such as sound (crystal and Tibetan singing bowls and other instruments), Thai– massage, Reiki, mindfulness, oils, Chakra–balancing, self–compassion, and more. VALENTINE AND ST. PATRICK’S DAY REVERSIBLE WREATH

MIDCO® AQUATIC CENTER | WARM WATER POOL

This 60-minute Warm Water Pool class is designed to assist you in improving your strength and cardiovascular health. This light- to moderate-intensity class format combines body resistance and water exercise equipment with light to moderate aerobic exercise. During the 60 minutes of instruction, class participants will strengthen their major muscle groups as well as improve range of motion of all muscles and joints. Improvement of flexibility, balance, and stamina can be expected. The movements of cardio activity are diff erent for every class in order for your body to receive optimal benefit for your physical health!

WATER AEROBICS

Water aerobics is a low-impact exercise. The constant resistance of the water against your body helps tone your muscles and increase your strength. Water aerobics is easier on your bones and joints than running, but still provides the benefits of an aerobic workout. If you have arthritis, are rehabilitating an injury, or just enjoy pool fitness classes, water aerobics can help improve your health.

Do you enjoy water aerobics? Let us challenge you a step further and take this fitness class into the deep water of our 50 Meter Pool! This challenging class incorporates high-intensity, nonimpact strength, and cardiovascular movements that provide one of the best forms of exercise. Also great on the bones and joints! Participants must be comfortable in deep water.

HYDRORIDERS

The Hydrorider is a user-friendly water bike and is perfect for any participant or skill level. Training in water also allows training at a greater level of intensity due to the cooling effect and faster recovery rate. Work at your own pace and try a new cycling experience in the water. The workout will also include upper body strengthening and toning. Water shoes or socks required.

CURRENT CHANNEL CIRCUITS

Introducing for the first time, we invite you to join us for a current channel workout designed for water walkers looking for a little change in their workout. Come see if you are up for the challenge. Combining the force of the currents in the channel, we will perform all the best water exercises designed for maximum results in cardio, strength, and endurance. Set to a circuit style, we will travel around the channel from station to station with interval timing.
