Sioux Falls Community Garden 2016 Season
The Sioux Falls Community Garden project is a cooperative effort involving the Minnehaha County Master Gardeners, SDSU Extension, the City of Sioux Falls, and a dedicated group of volunteers who oversee more than 200 individual gardeners.
Community Garden placement is on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to returning 2015 gardeners in good standing. 2015 gardeners will be contacted by mid-December 2015 with instructions for 2016.
People who choose to be community gardeners are expected to maintain their garden plots for the entire growing season and to provide volunteer help in preparing the garden sites with activities such as staking plots and applying organic mulch. Gardeners are also expected to clean their plots at the end of each growing season. .
All new and returning 2015 gardeners will have to fill out and submit an application form in 2016.
