Basketball Leagues are organized, administered, and supervised by Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation. Any questions as to policies, rules, or regulations should be referred to the sports coordinator at 367-8222. The primary objective of the program is for fun and exercise. Good sportsmanship will be required of all participants.

General Information: These are adult leagues and will begin play the first week of November and go through March, for a ten–week season with a single elimination tournament. Players must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. The first 13 teams will be accepted per night, per location. Leagues are broken down into east, and west when possible. • Men’s basketball league—November through March • Men’s basketball “Call Your Own” league—November through March • Women’s basketball league—November through March

Adult Coed Dodgeball League is organized, administered, and supervised by Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation. Good sportsmanship will be required of all participants.

General Information: This is an adult recreational coed league and will begin play the mid-March, for an eight–week season. Regular season winners will be crowned champions. Players must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. Men cannot outnumber women on the court. • Coed league—Wednesdays

General Information: This is a coed league and will begin play the mid-July, for an eight–week season plus a one–day tournament. Players must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. • Coed leagues at Dunham Park—Wednesdays or Thursdays

Sand Volleyball League is organized, administered, and supervised by Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation. Good sportsmanship will be required of all participants.

General Information: Leagues for women’s and coed teams will begin play the last week of May, for an eight–week season plus an optional one–day tournament. Players must be at least 18 years old and out of high school.

  • Women’s power league—Tuesdays
  • Women’s recreational league—Tuesdays
  • Coed 2x2—Mondays 
  • Coed power league—Tuesdays and Thursdays 
  • Coed upper recreational league—Mondays or Thursdays 
  • Coed lower recreational league—Mondays or Thursdays
  • League locations will be determined after registration closes.

Volleyball League - Winter Volleyball Leagues are organized, administered, and supervised by Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation. General Information: These leagues and will begin play the mid-March, for a twelve–week season. Regular season winners will be crowned champions. Players must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. Men cannot outnumber women on the court.

  • Men’s volleyball league —October through March (12 weeks with an optional league night tournament)
  • Women’s volleyball leagues —October through March (12 weeks with an optional league night tournament
  • Coed leagues —October through March (12 weeks with an optional league night tournament
  • Coed Sunday leagues —January through April (10 weeks with a weekend tournament)

Volleyball League Division Definitions

ELITE: Highly competitive; the top eight to ten teams in Parks and Recreation leagues, or team with players that have strong high school and college playing experience.

A POWER: Teams that have very strong experience playing in leagues. Players have some college playing experience.

B POWER: New teams made of players having high school playing experience or teams that are moving up from recreational level and want to follow strict interpretation of the rules.

RECREATION: Teams with players who have minimal competitive volleyball experience.
