The Sioux Falls Health Department is responsible for the inspection and monitoring of all city food service establishments to ensure the public's safety by establishing sanitary standards and preventing the possibility of food borne illnesses.
Illness can be caused from many different things. Food borne illness is caused by eating or drinking food items that are contaminated with harmful bacteria or viruses.
