Structure Fire 3904 South Willow Avenue

At 8:10 p.m. on Saturday night, May 19, 2018, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at 3904 South Willow Avenue.

First-arriving crews reported smoke showing from a single-story commercial building. Crews made entry and found fire in a back room that had extended up into the ceiling. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene conducting overhaul operations, and two support units were utilized to maintain a fire watch of the structure.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 5 fire trucks, 5 support vehicles, and 26 firefighters. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by the Sioux Falls Police Department, Paramedics Plus Ambulance, Xcel Energy, MidAmerican Energy, and the American Red Cross.

There was no one in the building at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. The fire is under investigation at this time.
