Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month at the Phillips Avenue Plaza Pop-Up Park

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will celebrate National Park and Recreation Month with a pop-up park in Phillips Avenue Plaza during the month of July.

A pop-up park is when you mix a concrete space with vibrant park features in a temporary setting. The Phillips Avenue Plaza pop-up park will be around only for the month of July and will feature flowers, green space, and free weekly activities including concerts, games, giant Jenga, Trash Can Pong, make-it-yourself dog toys, hula-hoops, and more. To see the full pop-up park schedule, visit www.siouxfalls.org/PopUpPark.

Share your adventures during National Park and Recreation Month using #GAMEONJULY and #EXPLORECONNECTPLAY in your social media posts. We look forward to seeing all the fun pics!

For children and adults, play is a vital part of our mental well-being, physical health, and personal interactions. The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) designates July as National Park and Recreation Month each year and challenges everyone to discover the power of play and adventure through their local park and recreation opportunities.
