West 49th Street Closure

Beginning on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., West 49th Street will be closed between Marion Road and Solberg Avenue to allow construction crews to perform street and utility improvements. Traffic will be detoured on Marion Road, 41st Street, and Louise Avenue.

Weather permitting, work is expected to take approximately one month.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction areas and may want to consider alternate routes.

*Revised* Bike Path Closure South of 26th Street

Beginning on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, the bike path between Pasley Park and Norlin Park will be impacted by construction. Contractors will be installing a storm sewer crossing for the 26th Street and Southeastern Avenue reconstruction project. The trail will NOT be closed as originally anticipated—pedestrians will be allowed to pass on the grass beside the work zone. The bike path will reopen on Thursday, July 18.

Minnesota Avenue Lane Closure

Beginning Tuesday, July 16, 2019, the outside southbound lane on Minnesota Avenue at 14th Street and the inside westbound left turn lane on 14th Street at Minnesota Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to perform pavement repairs. Southbound traffic will be maintained in the inside lane during construction. All work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

12th Street Lane Closure

Beginning Tuesday, July 16, 2019, the inside westbound lane of 12th Street will be closed between I 29 and Petro Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. Following repair of the inside westbound lane, the lane closure will move to the center lane, then the outside lane as work progresses. Two lanes of westbound traffic will be maintained at all times. Eastbound traffic will not be affected by this work     

Work is expected to be completed within two weeks with favorable weather conditions.
