Street Closure – North Industrial Avenue

Beginning on Monday morning, October 21, 2019, North Industrial Avenue will be closed West Elkhorn Street and West Delaware Street. Traffic will be detoured using West Elkhorn Street and North K Avenue.

First Rate Excavate will be installing new storm sewer and anticipates completion by October 28, 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – North Harlem Avenue

Beginning on Monday morning, October 21, 2019, North Harlem Avenue will be closed to through traffic between West Seventh Street and West Ninth Street.

First Rate Excavate will be installing new storm sewer and anticipates completion by October 28, 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures - 57th Street

Beginning on Monday October 21, 2019, the inside eastbound lane of East 57th Street will be closed at the intersection of South Graystone Avenue to allow construction crews to perform concrete pavement repairs.

After repairs are complete on the inside lane, work will move to the outside eastbound lane.

One lane of eastbound traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. Westbound traffic will not be affected by this work.

Work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Traffic Impacts on 26th Street between Frederick Drive and Southeastern Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, contractors will be placing the beams for the Big Sioux River Bridge. Expect delays throughout the day on East 26th Street between South Frederick Drive and South Southeastern Avenue. Work will be completed by the end of the October.

Beginning on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, contractors will be pouring the bridge deck over I-229. The eastbound lane of East 26th Street will be closed from South Van Eps Avenue to South Southeastern Avenue along with the Southbound I-229 off ramp. The westbound East 26th Street lanes will remain open. Work will be completed by Wednesday evening.
