Free Carry Out Parking for Downtown Businesses

The City of Sioux Falls is committed to supporting the continued operations of our downtown businesses. To assist downtown establishments, the City of Sioux Falls is placing free carry out parking signs at various downtown locations including Phillips Avenue and Main Avenue.

These designated carry out spaces will be located in close proximity to restaurants and other food establishments. City teams attached signage directly on parking meters today and they will remain in place until further notice.

“COVID-19 is affecting small businesses throughout Sioux Falls and they need the community to continue supporting them,” said Mayor Paul TenHaken. “I want to encourage people to shop locally and enjoy takeout or delivery from one of our many wonderful restaurants.”

Metered parking spots will remain available for patrons and visitors to other downtown retail and commerce entities. Operations and rates in downtown parking ramps and lots will continue as normal.
