Russell Frontage Road Closure

Beginning on Monday, June 1, 2020, the Russell Street Frontage Road will be closed in front of Casa Del Rey to allow crews to install a water service. Access will be maintained to Casa Del Rey through the frontage road entrances on either side of this. All accesses from Russell Street to the Frontage Road will remain open. This closure is expected to last one day.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the contractors will then close the Frontage Road just to the east of this to install another water service. Access to all businesses will be maintained. This closure will also last one day. 

This is the next phase of a project to reconstruct Bailey Street between West Avenue and Main Avenue. Improvements will include upgrading the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing. The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2020.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Sidewalk Closure - Ninth Street

Beginning on Monday, June 1, 2020, the sidewalk and parking spaces on the south side of Ninth Street will be closed between Minnesota Avenue and Phillips Avenue. Access will be maintained to businesses.

This is the first phase of a project to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramps and sidewalk in the downtown area. Work at this location is anticipated to be complete in approximately three weeks.
