Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, June 8, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed between Duluth and Minnesota Avenue to allow the contractor to begin construction of a right turn lane.  Access will be maintained to businesses and side streets during this work.

Work at this location is anticipated to be complete in approximately six weeks.  

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 18th Street

Beginning on Monday, June 8, 2020, East 18th Street will be closed between Second Avenue and Phillips Avenue to allow crews to perform utility and concrete pavement repairs. Traffic will be detoured to 19th Street at Second Avenue and Phillips Avenue. 

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Riverdale Park - Greenway Trail Bridge Closed for Repair

Beginning on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, the greenway trail bridge over the Big Sioux River at Riverdale Park will be closed for repairs. No detour will be posted during this closure on the west side of the bridge, and a temporary path will be provided around the construction area on the east side of the bridge. 

This work will include removal and splicing the damaged pile sections. 

Weather permitting, construction is anticipated to be complete by August 2020.
