Dakota Avenue Street Construction

Beginning on Thursday June 11, 2020, traffic will be reduced to one lane on Dakota Avenue from Ninth Street to Eighth Street allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching. One lane of traffic in will be maintained at all times while work is taking place.

Work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Marion Road and 49th Street Construction

Beginning on Friday June 12, 2020, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the intersection of Marion Road and 49th Street daily to allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching. The lanes closed within the intersection will vary daily as crew’s progress with the repairs. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times while work is occurring.

Work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Bailey Street Closure

Beginning on Friday, June 12, 2020, Bailey Street will be closed from east of Minnesota Avenue through Main Avenue. 

This is the next phase of a project to reconstruct Bailey Street between West Avenue and Main Avenue. Improvements will include upgrading the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing.

The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2020.
