Faith Avenue Detour
Beginning on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Faith Avenue will be detoured onto a temporary gravel access road just south of 41st Street to allow crews to install water and sanitary service into the new Fire Station 12 site.
This detour is expected to last two weeks. The project is anticipated to be completed by May 2021.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Highland Addition Street Reconstruction and Utility Improvements Phase 2
Beginning on Wednesday July 8, 2020, Phase 2 of construction will begin along East Fifth Street from Cliff Avenue through the intersection to Wayland Avenue. The work includes removal of the existing pavement with storm sewer, water main, and sanitary sewer improvements, and new curb and gutter to be installed. ADA compliant sidewalk ramps will be constructed at Fifth Street and Sherman Avenue, as well as Fifth Street and Wayland Avenue and asphalt pavement to be replaced.
Construction work will be performed as a full closure with no street access. Traffic control will be in place.
Phase 2 work is anticipated to be complete within 50 working days and by mid-October 2020.
Phase 1 is almost at completion of Fourth Street from Cliff Avenue to Sherman Avenue is open to traffic. Restoration work is in progress.

Traffic Signal Work On Madison Street and Kiwanis Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, Muth Electric will be replacing the underground wiring at Madison Street and Kiwanis Avenue. This work will involve turning the signal off for multiple days during which time it will operate as an all-way stop.
This work is anticipated to take approximately one week to complete.
