Lane Closure – 26th Street

Beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of 26th Street between South Marday Avenue and South Stephen Avenue will be closed for retaining wall replacement. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, July 17, 2020.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 26th Street from Veterans Parkway to Arrowhead Parkway

Beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020, 26th Street will be closed from Veterans Parkway to Arrowhead Parkway to allow construction crews to mill and overlay 26th Street. Access to property owners will be maintained during construction.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within five days.

Lane Closures – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020, the outside eastbound and westbound lanes of 41st Street will be closed between Valley View Road and Fairhall Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. As work progresses, the closures will move to the inside lanes. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times during construction

All work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Lane Closure - West 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, July 13, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of 41st Street will be closed west of Theodore Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. Eastbound traffic will be maintained in the inside eastbound lane. Westbound traffic will not be affected during construction.

All work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Street Closures - Bailey Street and Walts Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, Bailey Street and will be closed from west of Prairie Avenue through Walts Avenue. The access to Veteran’s Memorial Park on Walts Avenue will also be closed. Access will be maintained to the park through the west access on Bailey Street.

This is the next phase of a project to reconstruct Bailey Street between West Avenue and Main Avenue. Improvements will include upgrading the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing. The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2020.
