Intersection Closures – 57th Street

Beginning on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, asphalt paving will begin along West 57th Street from Minnesota Avenue to Western Avenue. There will be intermittent intersection closures to Duluth Avenue, Sundance Circle, Batcheller Lane, and Yellowstone Trail while the paving operations are working through these areas. 

Residents will be able to access their properties by using Batcheller Lane access from Minnesota Avenue.  Residents along Sundance Circle may need to find alternative parking arrangements during the paving operations.

The work is anticipated to be complete by Monday, July 20, 2020.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure -  Empire Place

Beginning on Thursday, July 16, 2020, East Empire Place will be closed from 41st Street to the south. Construction crews will begin the widening and realignment of East Empire Place with the 41st Street and Shirley Avenue intersection. Motorists are encouraged to utilize other mall entrances to visit the Empire Mall. 

This work will be completed by Lloyd Companies in conjunction with the redevelopment of the property adjacent to 41st Street.

This work is anticipated to be complete in September, 2020.
