Lane Closures Update - Kiwanis Avenue
The lane closures on Kiwanis Avenue originally scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 23, 2020, will now begin on Monday, July 27, 2020.
Beginning on Monday, July 27, 2020, pavement repairs will begin at five locations on Kiwanis Avenue between Rice Street and 37th Street. The lane closures will be at or near the intersections of Bailey Street, Second Street, Oak Street, 31st Street, and 34th Street. At least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction at all times.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street Closure - Western Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, South Western Avenue south of 41st Street will be closed from 8:00 p.m. into the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 29, 2020, to complete a sanitary sewer manhole replacement. Motorists should utilize 49th Street, Kiwanis Avenue, and 41st Street as alternate routes.
Traffic on 41st Street and on Western Avenue north of 41st Street will not be impacted by this work.
This work is anticipated to be complete by late fall of 2020, with some minor work will continuing into the spring of 2021.

Street Closure – Graystone Avenue
Beginning on Monday morning, July 27, 2020, South Graystone Avenue will be closed for approximately 300 feet south of West 57th Street.
Metro Construction will be installing new utilities.
This work is anticipated to be complete of approximately one week.

Street Closure – Phillips Avenue
Beginning at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, South Phillips Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 12th Street.
Barnhart Crane will be moving a rooftop unit with a crane.
This work is anticipated to be complete by 8:00 a.m. the same morning.
