Street Closure – 49th Street between Louise Avenue and Kiwanis Avenue

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Xcel Energy will be performing an emergency repair of an existing utility vault located near 49th Street and Oxbow Avenue. 

The street will be closed on West 49th Street between Louise Avenue and Kiwanis Avenue. Traffic will be directed to 57th Street and 41st Street via Louise Avenue and Kiwanis Avenue.

The work is anticipated to be completed by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, May 26, 2021.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction areas and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 12th Street

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, West 12th Street will be closed between South Spring Avenue and South Minnesota Avenue.

Backhaus Construction will be repairing a damaged sewer line under the roadway.

This work is anticipated to be complete by Friday, May 28, 2021.
