Terrace Park Construction

Beginning on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, sanitary sewer improvements will begin in Terrace Park near West Avenue. The trail on the west side of Covell Lake will be closed to pedestrian and bike traffic intermittently during the project from West Avenue through Madison Street.

Work on this project includes the rehabilitation of approximately 9,100 feet of 36” diameter ductile iron pipe with a structural HDPE liner, replacement of miscellaneous fittings, manholes, and the rehabilitation of air release valves from West Avenue through Walnut Street.

This project is expected to be fully open to traffic by late fall of 2021. Some minor work will continue into the spring of 2022.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures - North Minnesota Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, pavement repairs will begin in both the northbound and southbound lanes on North Minnesota Avenue between Benson Road and Algonquin Street. The single lane closures will begin on the outside lanes and move to the inside lanes as work progresses. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times during construction.

All work is expected to be completed within two weeks with favorable weather conditions.
