Lane Closure – Sixth Street from Minnesota Avenue to Duluth Avenue

Beginning at 8 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the westbound lane of traffic on Sixth Street from Minnesota Avenue to Duluth Avenue will be closed.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Division will be preforming road repairs. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by 4 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure - Wayland Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Wayland Avenue from Fifth Street to Pearl Street will be closed to traffic to allow work to begin in Phase 3 of the Highland Addition Improvement Project. Underground utility improvements will include sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain. Surfacing improvements will include new curb and gutter, asphalt surfacing, and sidewalk accessible ramps.

Pearl Street from Sherman Avenue to Wayland Avenue will remain closed to traffic. Sherman Avenue from Fourth Street to Fifth Street is open to traffic.

This phase of the project is expected to be complete in approximately one month.

Lane Closures - West Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, October 7, 2021, the outside southbound lane of West Avenue between Tenth Street and 11th Street will be closed to traffic to allow crews to perform concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
