Sustainability and Climate Action Plan Open House on Thursday, October 21, 2021

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the open house for the Sustainability and Climate Action Plan on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue.

The community-wide planning effort has been underway for several months. A steering committee of community stakeholders and City staff have guided the planning process and have integrated earlier community engagement, including the sustainability survey results.

The event will be held in an open house format. Attendees will be able to move to various stations around the room to learn about the goals and strategies drafted in the plan and provide feedback and ideas. City staff and steering committee members will be available to provide information and answer questions.

Refreshments will be available while they last. During the event, the children’s area of the library will have activities on sustainability topics for elementary school-aged children.

If you cannot attend the meeting but would still like to provide input or reach out to Sioux Falls Sustainability for questions, please contact Holly Meier at 605-367-8280 or email Open house material and an online comment area will be available on the website at the event start.
