Street Closure – Blauvelt Avenue

Beginning on Saturday, June 11, 2022, South Blauvelt Avenue will be closed to thru traffic at East 19th Street.

DMB Companies, LLC. will be removing trees at the intersection. The work is expected to be completed on Sunday, June 12, 2022. The closure will be opened overnight.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Marion Road

Beginning on Monday, June 13, 2022, North Marion Road will be closed from the north leg of Foundation Court to 259th Street to allow crews to reconstruct North Marion Road. Work will consist of new water main, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, curb and gutter, concrete paving, asphalt paving, street lights and traffic signals. 

Work is expected to be completed by mid-November.  Motorists should utilize North Kiwanis Avenue or Minnehaha County Highway 141 as alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Madison Street

Beginning on Monday, June 13, 2022, the outside eastbound lane on West Madison Street will be closed between North Harlem Avenue and North Kiwanis Avenue.

Q3 Contracting, Inc. will be working in the area. This work is expected take a couple weeks.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Delaware Street

Beginning on Monday, June 13, 2022, the intersection of West Delaware Street and North F Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to install new watermain.  The closure is expected to last for approximately one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Closure – Frontage Road

Beginning on Monday, June 13, 2022, the intersection of the Frontage Road north of Russell Street, Delaware Street and C Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to do utility work. 

Traffic along the Frontage Road north of Russell Street, Delaware Street and C Avenue will be open to local traffic in the area.

Work in this area is anticipated to be complete within one month.
