Lane Closure – 41st Street
Beginning on Saturday, August 27, 2022, the outside eastbound lane will be closed on 41st Street at Kelley Avenue. Xcel Energy is working on utilities.
The work is anticipated to be complete by the evening of Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and pedestrians may need to use alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Phillips Avenue and 10th Street
Beginning on Monday, August 29, 2022, the southbound lane on North Phillips Avenue will be closed between Ninth Street and 10th Street.
The northern outside lane on 10th Street will be closed just east of Phillips Avenue to Main Avenue.
Sidewalk access will be maintained.
Xcel Energy will be working in the area. The work is anticipated to be complete in a month.

Utility Work – Racket Drive
Beginning on Monday, August 29, 2022, crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer along South Racket Drive between West 49th Street and West 51st Street. There will be intermittent short-term lane restrictions and road closures as the work progresses.
Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within three days.

Lane Closure – Kiwanis Avenue
Beginning on Monday, August 29, 2022, the outside southbound lane of Kiwanis Avenue between 22ND Street and Oak Street will be closed to traffic to allow crews to perform concrete repairs.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Utility Work – Baha Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer along South Baha Avenue between West 55th Street and West 57th Street. There will be intermittent short term lane restrictions and road closures as the work progresses.
Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within one week.

Utility Work – 54th Street North
Beginning on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, Hillcrest Avenue will be closed at 54th Street North to allow construction crews to perform storm drainage repairs. All traffic will be routed around the work on 57th Street North and Seubert Avenue.
Weather permitting, the work is anticipated to be complete in approximately 1 week.

Street Closure – Purdue Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, South Purdue Avenue will be closed to traffic north of West 41st Street. A detour will be signed. Lloyd Construction will be working on utilities
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by Friday, September 2, 2022.

Recreation Trail Closure - Madison Street to Maple Street
Beginning on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, work will begin on the Sioux Falls Recreation Trail between Madison Street and Maple Street near Elmwood Golf Course.
Work on this section of the trail will include full-depth removal of existing pavement, shaping, and repaving. A detour will be provided during the duration of the project. Improvements to this section of trail are anticipated to be complete by September 23, 2022.
Motorists traveling the detour area are urged to be alert for cyclists, pedestrians, children, dogs, and other typical recreation trail users. Motorists should reduce speeds in the detour area and are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
