Street Closure – Phillips Avenue
Effective immediately, December 9, 2022, Phillips Avenue will be closed between Eight Street and Ninth Street.
City of Sioux Falls Water Maintenance is working on a water main break. The work is expected to take a few hours. The plan is to have Phillips Avenue open for evening commute, but that will depend on if the leak is found and how quickly it can be repaired.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Russell Street
Beginning after the morning commute and prior to the evening commute on Monday, December 12, 2022, the outside westbound turn lane on West Russell Street east of Minnesota Avenue will be closed.
Xcel Energy will be working in the area.
This work is anticipated to take a few hours during each day. There will be signage and flaggers positioned to detour traffic around the closures.

Street Closure – Russell Street
Beginning after the morning commute and prior to the evening commute on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, West Russell Street will be closed between Minnesota Avenue and Dakota Avenue.
Xcel Energy will be working in the area.

Street Closure – Minnesota Avenue
Beginning after the morning commute and prior to the evening commute on Thursday, December 15, 2022, the intersection of North Minnesota Avenue and First Street will be closed.
