Frosty All Weekend: Frosty Frolics Weekend Delivers Winter Activities for 35th Year
Delight in a frosty frolic while ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, running, or hunting for Frosty himself. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will host its 35th Annual Frosty Frolics Weekend January 6 through 8, 2023.
For the 35th year, Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is introducing “Freeze Tags.” Families can track their attendance to receive a Frosty Frolics mug when they attend five out of eight events.
“Frosty Frolics Weekend highlights all the special ways you can move and delight in winter,” Eric Saathoff, recreational program coordinator, said. “The weekend is all about making the most of South Dakota winters. As something new, we’re giving away mugs to anyone who makes it to five or more events.”
Additionally, to celebrate winter recreation, all skate rentals will be FREE at all outdoor rinks from January 6 through 8.
Events will happen at various Sioux Falls parks throughout the weekend. Festivities kick off with ice skating and hot chocolate at 6:30 p.m. in Memorial Park. Scheduled weekend events are free (unless noted) and weather dependent. View the complete schedule at www.siouxfalls.org/parks/frosty-frolics.
