Sioux Area Metro Service Canceled for Tuesday

Sioux Area Metro (SAM) service is canceled for Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023. Service was previously suspended as officials monitored weather and road conditions.

“With no travel advisories for Sioux Falls and the region, it is in the best interest of safety for our drivers and passengers to cancel Sioux Area Metro service today and encourage everyone to stay home,” said Robert Speeks, SAM General Manager.

Officials will assess weather and road conditions later this evening to determine any necessary adjustments to schedules or routes for tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 4.

SAM riders are encouraged to follow SAM’s Facebook and Twitter pages and/or text “RIDE” to 888-777 for route updates. Bus route information, including schedules, can be found at www.siouxfalls.org/sam.
