Lane Closure - 10th Street

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2023, the outside westbound lane on East 10th Street will be closed at Sneve Avenue to allow crews to perform a concrete pavement repair. 

Weather permit, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.

Rotary Park Fitness Court Coming Soon!

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2023, construction of the first outdoor fitness court in the park system will begin. The court will be on the east bank of the Big Sioux River in Rotary Park. A safety fence will be in place.

The bike trail and other park amenities will remain open during construction. 

This work is anticipated to be complete within three weeks.

Please use caution in the area as there will be intermittent construction traffic.

Street Closure – 12th Street

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2023, a portion of West 12th Street and part of the alley, between Dakota Avenue and Main Avenue, directly south of the Washington Pavilion, will be closed.

Jans Corporation will be working on a project for the Washington Pavilion. 

This closure is anticipated to be just for the day.

Street Closure – Ebenezer Avenue

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2023, North Ebenezer Avenue near Ninth Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform railroad crossing improvements. Motorists should utilize 12th Street, Fifth Street, Marion Road, and Lyon Boulevard as alternate routes. 

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, May 15, 2023, the outside westbound lane on West 41st Street will be closed from Lake Avenue to Norton Avenue to allow crews to make improvements to the ADA accessibility along the corridor.

Work will include accessible curb ramps and sidewalks with corresponding driveway restorations and concrete curb and gutter repairs.

This project is anticipated to be complete in August.

Lane Closure – Cliff Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the outside southbound lane on South Cliff Avenue between 49th Street and Tomar Road will be closed to allow crews to repair fence along the west side of Cliff Avenue. Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. 

This work is anticipated to be complete in two weeks.

Sidewalk Closure – Main Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the sidewalk on the west side of South Main Avenue will be closed between Ninth Street and Tenth Street.

ANCO Underground LLC will be working in the area. 

This work will be complete in approximately one week.

Street Closure – Lewis Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, South Lewis Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 12th Street. There will be access to homes on either side of the closure.

Spielman Excavation will be working on a water and sewer tap. 

The work is anticipated to be complete in a week.

Street Closure – Buckeye Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, South Buckeye Avenue will be closed just south of Sassafras Street.

Northwest Corporation will be setting a crane. 

This work is anticipated to be complete before the end of the day.

Street Closure – Westport Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, North Westport Avenue will be closed between Sencore Drive and Cherry Hill Drive.

Metro Construction will be working on utilities for the Sanford Sports Complex. 

This work is anticipated to be complete Friday, May 19, 2023.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the outside westbound lane on West 57th Street will be closed just west of Grinnell Avenue.
