Street Closure – Western Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday morning, May 17th, 2023, Western Avenue from 31st Street to

Oak Street will be closed from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

The Sioux Falls Street Division will be performing road maintenance work. Weather pending, this work is anticipated to be open to traffic by 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 17th. There will be a detour made available while the work is being completed.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure - Chippewa Circle

Beginning on Thursday, May 18, 2023, the westbound lane on Chippewa Circle will be closed near Solberg Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repair. One lane traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area.

Lane Closure – 26th Street

Beginning Friday, May 19, 2023, the outside westbound lane on West 26th Street will be closed, just west of the southbound ramp.

Q3 will be doing dirt work for Xcel. The work is expected to be complete before the end of the day.
