Fall 2020 Programming

Fall programming begins at all community centers on September 21. The community centers are open and available for all ages and abilities through a variety of programming opportunities. Explore, connect, and play throughout the facility by enjoying a game room, large gymnasium, computer lab, and meeting room space.

Safe Play

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, a number of precautions are being taken in the management of the community centers.

  • Masks are expected to be worn by patrons and staff
  • Drinking fountains are closed
  • Reduced capacities will be in effect for all areas within the centers
  • All patrons are required to sign a covid-19 waiver, and minor’s waivers must be signed by an adult

Morningside Community Center offers three meeting rooms (one with a kitchen), a game room, a computer lab, and a wooden floor gymnasium with either three volleyball courts or two basketball courts.

Programs and Services

Different activities are scheduled daily, such as arts and crafts, open gym, and special events. Must be able to self-manage to attend. More details on this program available at each center. FREE

  • Game rooms may include board games, video games, pool table, air hockey, and foosball.
  • Open Gyms are a time for people to drop in to play basketball. No organized team play is allowed.

Gather your friends at our “house” to play and not get your house messy.  Our play groups are open for kids from infant age to prekindergarten age.  We will provide the equipment and toys. Parents/adults provide the supervision. Not intended for child care centers or in-home day care providers. FREE

Walking is one of the best ways to stay healthy! Lap counters are available for checkout so you can log your daily progress. We will help track your miles each week. FREE

Each community center has at least one large meeting room.

Meeting areas are equipped with tables, chairs, TV, DVD, and dry erase boards.

  • Kitchen specifics are available upon request.
  • Specifics of room guidelines are available at time of your reservation request.
  • Meeting rooms can be reserved by contacting the community center where the event will take place.

Computer labs provide a quiet, convenient place to have Internet access. Hours are subject to change to accommodate schedule programs. FREE

Court Rentals

The cost is $25 per court hour, which is nonrefundable and payable by credit card at the time of the reservation.  Reservations for court rentals will be taken by calling 978-6930.
