Sertoma Park Master Plan

Sertoma Park Master Plan

The Sertoma Park master plan focuses on 3 primary areas of the park, and is based on public engagement and feedback. The first area of focus is the redevelopment of the existing play areas around the pavilion shelter. The existing playground pods will be expanded to increase play options and provide more inclusive play for all ages. The existing park restroom building will be relocated and expanded. The second area of focus is the expansion of the Outdoor Campus facilities. In addition to new indoor classrooms for shooting sports, the plan includes boardwalks, educational areas, trailhead access, and a new outdoor archery area. The final area of focus is the expansion of the Butterfly House and Aquarium facilities. The proposed additions to the facility will provide more educational and recreational opportunities for the public. Parking within the park will be renovated and expanded to accommodate any future building expansions. Additional master plan improvements include a new pathway along the east side of Oxbow Avenue, park identification and directional signage, replacement of a pedestrian bridge, and site amenities such as drinking fountains, benches, and lighting. All proposed improvements are intended to be implemented in multiple phases and will occur through a combination of private and public funding.
