The City of Sioux Falls has over 80 beautiful parks in its 3,178-acre park system. Plus, the 29-mile paved Bike Trail wraps itself around the city along the Big Sioux River greenway, through scenic urban and wildlife areas. Arrowhead Park

Just on the eastern fringe of Sioux Falls, Arrowhead Park is named after a large arrowhead-shaped granite quarry which is one of three historic quarries that are now lakes. The area is now a haven for bird watching.

Falls Park

Falls Park is a 123-acre park in the heart of the city. Enjoy magnificent rock formations, viewing areas, walkways, and picnic areas. View some of the city’s earliest buildings and a visitor information center with a five-story observation tower.

Family Park

This 90-acre park in western Sioux Falls is fast becoming a hot spot for families. This park features two ponds which are stocked twice a year, two picnic shelters, restrooms, and walking trails. This premiere nature area offers a boat ramp and docks for fishing. A three acre off-leash dog park includes walkways, bench seating, shade structures, drinking fountains, dog wash stations, natural dog play features along with a large open area. This area is approximately 22 acres in size and clearly marked with boundary signage. This expansive space allows outdoor enthusiasts the ability to conduct various dog training activities.

Leaders Park

Leaders Park is quite the hidden gem. This park is home to a community garden and single-track bike trails. Come check it out for yourself.

McKennan Park

Sioux Falls’ oldest developed park is the crown jewel of parks. This historic park includes tennis courts, horseshoe pits, sunken gardens, band shell, and a free wading pool.

Japanese Gardens at Terrace Park

Exotic flowers, entrance arbor, trees, pagodas, and lanterns make up the unique Japanese Gardens at Terrace Park. Learn about its history.

U.S.S. South Dakota Battleship Memorial

The U.S.S. South Dakota Battleship Memorial was the most decorated battleship of World War II. It fought in every major naval battle in the Pacific from 1942–1945. The memorial is open daily from May 1–September 30 from 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
